Vintage Majolica Elephant Planter – Glazed Ceramic White Elephant Jardinière

Vintage Majolica Elephant Planter Jardinière

A striking majolica elephant planter: a white elephant with ivory tusks and an upturned trunk carries a scalloped, ochre-glazed basin on his back. He stands among green leaves on a rustic brown base, all richly hand-painted in classic majolica glazes.

Ideal as a jardinière for orchids, ferns or a cachepot, or as a fruit bowl or centerpiece. A statement piece for Hollywood Regency, British Colonial, Palm Beach and chinoiserie-inspired interiors.
