Porcelain Cabinet Plate After Murillo 'The Grape & Melon Eaters' – Cobalt & Gold Rim

Porcelain Cabinet Plate After Murillo

An opulent porcelain cabinet plate centered with a reproduction of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo's famous 17th-century painting The Grape and Melon Eaters: two boys sharing grapes and melon. The scene is framed by a deep cobalt blue band with ornate gold lace and scroll decoration and a heavily gilded scalloped rim.

A striking wall plate or display piece for a gallery wall, china cabinet or library shelf, in the grand European cabinet plate tradition.
